The most important issue facing us this election is IMMIGRATION.
Ben Carson, who was my second choice, has come out and said that it is too expensive to deport the illegals, and that he would give them work permits:
Carson said he would secure the border, but also grant guest-worker status to people who are in the country without documentation. That way, they can pay taxes and come out from the shadows, he said.
Mass deportation, he said, would be expensive and impractical, and crippling to the hotel and agriculture industries.
This is pure leftist rhetoric. Democrats are always talking about illegals coming “out of the shadows,” as if they are some sort of oppressed victim class. Of course, that is not a direct quote from Carson, but rather a paraphrase. Still, the actual victims here are regular American citizens, because it’s our country which is being INVADED.
Why can’t we actually CHOOSE who gets to come in, as opposed to letting it be decided based upon whoever is within walking distance of our border? What is our government and military for, if not to protect the country and keep out invaders?
Which country is our government in charge of? Since when is it a moral imperative to redistribute our wealth to another country’s citizens?
Yesterday I watched the Dana show for a bit, and she had on these two guests who decided to open their mouths and start bashing Donald Trump. They sounded very much like limp-wrist liberals, not right wing allies, going on about how Trump was mean and abrasive.
It doesn’t matter if he’s mean or abrasive, what matters is that he is the only one who is going to do something about the invasion. If you claim to be right wing, or think you are, then who is your tough alternative candidate to Trump, and why should I like him?
No one else has suggested building a wall along the border. “Getting tough” on immigration is nothing if there is not a wall and/or military presence along the border to actually, physically, stop the flow of illegals.
Granting them legal status will solve nothing, and we are under no obligation to legitimize their presence here, as they came in uninvited and are unwanted. Legitimizing their presence will only encourage more to come.
Immigration is the number one issue, because if the US becomes Mexico then all the things conservatives care about will be gone. All one need do is look at Mexico to see what the future of the US will be.
Comparing Mexican immigration to Irish and Italian is a poor analogy. The difference between western cultures is much smaller than the difference between a western culture and a non-western culture. You cannot replace one population with another and expect things to stay the same. If that were how things worked, then we would all be living and dressing like the Cherokee, Sioux, Penobscot, Blackfoot, etc., but instead we live in a culture which bears absolutely zero resemblance to any of those cultures.
At present, about 30% of Mexicans vote for the Republican party. It’s possible that those Mexicans who are here might be able to assimilate, given time, but only if the flow is cut off. If the flow is cut off they may eventually abandon their culture, or gradually marry out to the point where they are absorbed by us, in which case their culture will still be gone. However, if the flow continues, then they will become the majority and either absorb us or marginalize us to the point where we no longer have self-rule and control over our destiny.
That being said, if anyone is not willing to shut down the border, then I’m not interested in whatever else they have to say, because everything else is ancillary to that. A Mexican majority is a Democrat majority. Mexico is locked into a one party system, and that is how the US will be. Whatever great things a Republican president does are going to be undone and irrelevant in the long term if current demographic trends continue.
Rather than trying to compete with the Democrats for votes among a people which is still, at present, a minority, the Republicans ought to focus on keeping them a minority. Why should the Democrats be the only party allowed to mess with demography? It seems that a lot of Republicans are committed to letting the Democrats have their way.
“Maybe if we’re nice to the illegals they’ll all vote for us when they become citizens?”
No, they won’t. You can see how they vote when they become citizens, and it’s about 70% solid Democrat. Amnesty = bloc votes for the Democrats.
Also, no one asked me if I wanted to be submerged into Mexico. I have no interest in adapting to their culture, and I don’t appreciate having to take extra precautions to keep my wife safe from aliens which don’t have to be here in the first place. In fact, the majority of tropical cultures and cultures native to the Southern Hemisphere have very little to offer.
At what point will the Democrats and Establishment GOP be satisfied that we have enough Mexicans? Can we at least put a number on it so that the rest of us can brace ourselves and make proper preparations? If they cannot or will not put a number on it, then that probably means they want to merge the US into Mexico, or at least replace the current US citizens with another people. The US is not a suburb of Mexico, and our government does not exist to serve their citizens, and I have no interest in giving them any of my money, nor do I have anything to gain by doing so. It’s not going to buy their friendship, and in any case I don’t need their friendship. If we can go back to having a secure border and our own country it doesn’t matter whether another country’s citizens hate me or not, because they can’t actually get to me when the border is secure.
Also, I couldn’t care less about Jeb Bush’s tax plan. He could completely abolish the IRS, but with the open borders and amnesty he wants all of his tax reforms will eventually be undone.
